I had mentioned briefly on the temporary forum about my friend attending national day with options to purchase pictures of your car on track.

I can now confirm Dave is 100% going to attend national day this year and will be taking pictures primarily on track but also general show pictures, show & shine area and AGM/trophy presentations.

David has spent more on his camera gear than most do on their Renault’s!! It is a large hobby and passion of his along with fast cars, he is looking to do this kind of thing more regular. I have uploaded some reduced size pictures to my photo account to get an idea of the quality of pictures he produces (the web site really does not capture the quality of the pics, can email if required). I can assure you that he is very good and actually a bit obsessive with perfection of his pictures. You really need to see the non reduced version on a large screen to get the full effect

Right so price options if you want some pictures of your car this year as follows
£15 will get you a disc with a minimum of 30 shots on track primarily but also some static shots of your car. Where possible this will just be your car in the shot but depending on how many people want pictures and how much time you spend on track you will be looking at a LOT more of your car, been a short track there should be plenty of different angles and he plans to get pictures at all sections of the track throughout the day.

For the regular track goers you will know that you are looking at £30+ and usually be lucky to get more than 30 pictures

There is also the option to have a package of general show & track pictures included into your collection for an extra £5 (£20 total)

Thanks to the committee for supporting this feature, we have never had this before and if it works out I can see if been a regular option for RTOC events in the future (larger events)

Pictures on discs will be handed out by myself if camping or posted if not (may be a small charge for this)

I am trying to confirm who will want pictures in advance, this will give Dave the information regarding who is purchasing pictures and he can concentrate on making sure you get plenty of shots. Could you update this thread and PM me the following details please;

Not sure if steve has mentioned to you at all Dunc's but Steve is taking two cars. If anyone else is doing the same, does that mean they can have the 30images for £15 but have say 15 of 1 car and 15 of the other?

Sarah as far as I know it is only Steve who is taking 2 cars on the list (greedy little boy!) The raider is static pictures only and have spoken to him about it ;)

Few things now it is getting close now;

Regarding the general pictures that will be taken at the event, is everyone in the club happy to have there registrations shown? Cannot see it been a big issue as it is only members purchasing them and they are not getting published on any web sites but if anyone does not want them shown please PM me and I will pass the information on so they can be removed before the CD’s are burned. Do not see this causing any problems with individual track car pictures but may delay the general pictures of the events if you want this option adding to your package (£5 extra) – depending on if anyone does have a problem with it.

There also may be an option for general pictures cd including show & shine and some track action after ND more details to follow on this.

I am also thinking that some people spend a lot more time on track than others and it may be worth texting Dave 5 mins before going out so he is ready looking for you. Obviously if your out ALL Day, cue Paul B there will be lots of opportunities for pictures.

I will contact everyone on the list this week via PM regarding this and a few other things

Dave is still ploughing through the 2897 pictures he took at National day but has now split everyone’s pictures into there own folders.

All the people on the original list who have paid will be posted Monday, the few that I missed before going home have a PM with details of payment methods etc ;)

I have seen some of the pictures when leaving Mallory earlier and have to say they look REALLY good!!! The show and shine & calendar pictures look brilliant. :)

Although we said everyone would get 30 good pic’s minimum most people have over double this and I have told Dave to just put ALL pic’s of your cars onto the cd and you can cherry pick your favourites rather than Dave select the best ones and only send you 30. I only think there are one or two that did not get 30 pics (due to not going on track much, shop boy :D:D:D) but I have asked him to bolster these with some good general pictures of the event. Shopper was happy with this.

Dave did manage on top of delivering the goods for the people on the list, show & shine & calendar shots a shed load of cracking pics of other members cars that were not on the list, below is the list of registrations and car of pics he has, also some cars with no reg on. If you are interested PM me and I can tell you how many pics he has and if interested can do the same for the people on the list and get you a cd in the post with all your pics for £15

Hi Guys

This is Dave, not Duncan (the bloke who took all the photos on Saturday) - Duncan has given me his User ID etc so I can reply to you all (big mistake Mr Grier....:laugh:)

First of all - I thought it was a great day on Saturday, good to meet a few of you and it looks like you all had a good run on the track. The weather was definitely a bonus. I really enjoyed taking all the photos (well, maybe not all 2800 of them!) and it has certainly taken me longer than expected to sort them all out. Apologies to those of you expecting CDs on Sunday, it was a huge task sorting them all out.

To clear up a few things, the list Duncan has provided above (with the number plates) is basically all the cars I have taken photos of in addition to the original 20 people who signed up for photos.

So if your number plate is in this list, and would like photos of your car, send Duncan a PM and he/I can let you know how many we have etc.

In addition to these two lists, there are the people who I spoke to afterwards, who also wanted photos....don't worry they are all done as well.

I've also got photos of 1 more car which had no number plates on, which is:

R5 - White (with orig. GT Turbo stickers on side, yellow fogs, RAC tax disc holder!)

Due to workload, I will probably be posting them on Tuesday, rather than Monday, but I will try to send them tomorrow.

As a further update to Duncan's post earlier, for the number of photos on each CD, having spent hours (and hours!) going through them all and picking the very best ones, I have put 30 on each disc as agreed originally. This way it is fair to everyone and for the few of you who have slightly less than 30 of your own car, I have added some general pictures of the day (paddock etc) to ensure you have 30 in total.

For the original 20 who ordered photos before the event, I need your address to post them to. If you can send Duncan a PM ASAP then I can get them posted. I have some of your addresses, but not all yet.

big dan c lent me his bullit camera and i filled it right up, he thought he copied the footage onto the arcos then erased the footage from the bullit cam so we could take some more footage but it was all erased, apparantly there is some from the second batch saved just before the batteries died.
im sure there were lots of others filimg out there though with some cool videos.

Quick update on the photos - I have posted CDs today to 18 of you, that is those who have both paid and given me/sent me their address by about 5pm today.

You should receive the CDs tomorrow (Wednesday latest depending on good old Royal Mail :scared:) - wouldn't mind a bit of feedback on the photos when you get them - cheers.

Got a couple more to post tomorrow, and still waiting for a couple of addresses so I'll post these once I have them.

Thanks everyone for the good feedback so far - really glad you're happy with the pics.

I've posted another 9 CDs today as well, to people who paid last night....so you should receive them tomorrow.

I'll happily do some further events if you want me to...

That CSL was doing some cracking laps - I did some unoffical timing :) and it was lapping in around 57 secs the closest thing at the time was the GTA doing it in 59secs - I appreciate not everyone was hammering it all the way round but it did seem pretty quick

I do believe at some points I was passing left, right & centre.:sad2: I'm usually much more considerate but the briefing I attended said "don't crash"(I missed the briefing, so made up my own rules :coffee:)............so I didn't.;)

Thanks for all your comments about the photos - I'm really glad you all like them :)

I've been looking through some of them again tonight, does anyone know who was on track in the orangey/red Clio with 'senditeasy.com' stickers on it? He had a MAJOR tripod moment at the hairpin which I've got a great photo of.

Also the guy who hit the barrier near the footbridge (Grey R5, Reg F517 PLU) and had to be towed - I've got it all in sequential photos, including the point of impact with him bracing himself etc!

By popular demand, here are a few of the photos from the sequence I took covering the spin on the straight. These pics are obviously heavily downsized, and taken mostly into the sun (a big no-no for quality photos normally, but these aren't too bad).

Glad he was OK and there was minimal damage. I think it could have been a lot worse...
