ht lead exploaded

I have just been working on the car (which is running fine) and noticed the kind lead has litrally exploaded, there is a hole in the side as it meets the dizzy and its all melted, no idea how its not missfiring but hey.. what could of caused this :S :eek:

well,as in theres a hole in the side(like a 1p) .

few ideas for you:
caught on the fan.
alternator wiring fused on it?
melted on a water hose?
arc'd on a jubilee clip
squirrels.



all from experience, apart form the squirrels. But i have seen the devastation to the loom in kebabmans car from a squirrel attack!
