well yippee for me i now have nice new calipers and the one that was not
bleeding has been replaced with another and all is fine, only problem i have
is my new handbrake cables, they cross over at the tank an go into yoke opposite
to the calipers..but the adjuster has to take up all the thread for them to work
effectively, which im sure is not correct,i have read haynes with not any progress,
any help please??

Having the same problem at the moment, is there any way to adjust the calipers so you dont have to wind the adjuster right up?

the haynes shows a picture with so much cable hanging out of the caliper arm,
i cant get what they mean..confusing to say the least..

id like to know as i got to replace snapped handbrake cables, strange how theres two the same, so there must be some caliper adjustment, like the arm could pull back more so to take up the cable slack

well had a play around again today,no luck, thanks to the folk who have
offered pointers an help,re-read haynes again an done as they say but
no differance there either.

some folk must have a clue on here please..i just cant see as to why it
takes up so much slack, its nearly out of thread on the yoke???

also there is no info in a search so would be beneficial to others in the
same position.

cheers

you can wind the piston in and out, thats what I did to get a new cailper to work properly can be really hard to bolt it on tho.
