Like an idiot I forgot to get one when I changed the oil! Can someone tell me where I can get them form? If from somewhere like B&Q what size will I need?

Just nip in to any motor factors & tell them you need a copper washer for a Renault & they'll sort you out.

You want a compressable one, usually just a few pence.

You got ripped off matey my local Renault dealership sold me 4 for a quid about 3 months ago:laugh:

gsf gave me 1 for a clio the other day as they had no copper washer listed for an r5 and it was too small to go over the sump plug. Luckily my old one wasnt even compressed properly the last time it was done up so was like brand new :)

Halfrauds about three nicker for a whole box full of diffrent sizes:)

Just get a blowtorch on the old ones until they glow red ,cool naturally and they're good to go again .

they stock 2 types for the renault. as i found out a few weeks back:laugh:

I have just got a copper washer from Halfords, HFX228, its the only one that they do for a Renault, does anyone know if this will definately fit?? I dont want to kepp on dropping the oil and refilling every time.

I did say they sell a whole box full of diffrent size copper washers in halfrauds, this is what I use and they fit the oil feed pipe, mainfold fittings, carb fittings etc:)
