As there's a few peeps on here in the midst of doing conversions with the 172, wiring up looms etc i'm sure they can confirm the following.
The revs are controlled by the ECU and the MPH is controlled via the ABS or vice versa, based on the M1 Clio 172 :ashamed:
Either way the speedo isn't controlled from the back of the gearbox in the speedo housing like the Clio and 19 16V or the electronics of the 5 GTT.
If the above is correct and the speedo isn't located in the back of the gearbox, i can use say a JB3 from the 5, Volvo 440/480 turbo box (can't remember which) as it's picked up by the ABS thingymajig :agree: :disagree:??
