My throttle just stuck open :eek: The cable had snagged on a fuel line .It just kept on going and I had to dump the clutch to stop going into a hedge .Engine over revved and I switched off .Thought something had come through the block but it had just spat a load of oil out the dipstick tube ......
It sounds OK and has still got bags of oil pressure ....Still it's up on stands for an oil swap and I'll do the noisey tappets so I can have a good old listen to the bottom end ..

I think I messed myself a bit :laugh:

Some people just have to go that wee bit further...;), glad you an the ole girl are fine...lsounds like a wanted add for a pair of y fronts is due anytime...:D,should of bought a 5....:wasntme:

Get a rev limiter set up too, could save the engine in situations like that:)

The Adaptronic probably limited it but not according to the std Ren counter ....I will have to try and see where it cuts in on the clock for real when I'm not actually trying to keep it on the road :laugh:
I know the cold limit works at 4k ..hard is set to 6.5k.

my 205 did this just after fitting samcos.. i took it out for a 5 mile blast.. just as i gave the car some beans coming up to my house the throttle stuck open.. i indeed shat myself
