Well i decided to dig my 5 out the garage today after 2.5 years of not being on the road. After getting the oil up i connected the king lead and she fired first time. God i had forgotten how good it sounds! I did have one prob with it and thats the dash lights and gauges didnt work? i removed the clocks and checked plugs on the back and all seemed ok, any ideas anyone? Gonna try and get it on the road at the end of the month? Then after a few miles to check all is well it will be going:cry: Im gonna get some pics of her soon as a few people have asked for some.

Good effort mate! Check the multiplug behind the lh headlight and the connectors in the kick panels of each footwell. Common place for dodgy contacts.

I hope mine starts up like yours did! Like you I will be selling mine as well once sorted.

Cheers mate, ive already checked the main one in engine bay but not the ones in the footwells.:)

Well got all the little bits done and it passed its MOT today! gonna tax it ready for next month and then give it a bloody good clean up! Its been sat for nearly 3 years in my garage:eek: Cant believe ive managed to leave it in there for so long. Was good to drive it again although it was only a couple of miles. First meet is to be marky marks aylesbury meet, although once its clean and im happy there are no problems it will be for sale:(

Yes mate i parked it up in august 2006 and the tax ran out in dec 2006! Cant wait to use it again even tho it prob wont be for long.

I'm starting to feel really old these days, instead of just old :cry:

Glad to hear it's up and running again though Rob. It's a great looking car :cool:
