well I own my 11 since 1997 and got my 5 nearly 3 years ago. They're both imported from the UK and the 5 has been reshelled at some point here in Cyprus.

about 5 minutes ago I went out to pull the 5 into the garage and mistakenly took the keys to the 11 on the way out, I open the door, get in the car, put the ignition key into the barrrel and it wont turn, I think to myself wtf? then I realise I got the wrong keys :eek:

how on earth my keys of the 11 unlocks the door on my 5?

it's a small small world I reckon :)

i had a 5 that any r5 boot key would lock and unlock it, but any other sort of key wouldnt, lock and unlock the boot that is!

round here most people can get into a 5 with a screwdriver....

Nothing strange. My key unlocks friends passenger doors only, his key unlocks my drivers door only and another GTT key (from third car) can unlock both trunks and my passenger door. Explain that :)

is it possible to use a newer renault lock,
i know they did the ones that have 3d keys, not sure what you call them, the key isnt cut top and bottom
