All breather pipe restrictors in place? all leads on ok? blippeds the throttle to clear its throat? hmmmmmmmm gonna cost at least £15 million to repair it again, full engine rebuild with a billion bhp and like max crazy boost.
Hows the turbo then ?
yes i have the car running now for 20mins or so, the temp is up over half way and have now blue smoke at all, could it of been just that oil return?
I would drive it for a few days and see what happens mate.
idling is very very lumpy and sounds like its gonna die out. once i give it some gas to about 3k revs sounds fine, any ideas?
Prob be your carb, will need the idle sorting and the fuel to match.
Cue - expert. :p

Dirty idle jet (brass screw on side of carb) ??
Beat me to it.
I was actually going to suggest the plugs being 180 degrees out as Jesus had the same issue on his car.
Yu're not having much luck with this car are you?
i never have any luck :cry:i will have a play with the carb but i just remembered something since its broken down i added a cup modded lobster from matt, i disconnected this but wtf is it??? no one seemes to know perhaps this may be the prob?
well thanks everyone my car is back running fine well..(exept the smokey turbo)
HAHA i managed to get half way round the block, and it overheated,
think a can of petrol and a match is the only thing to sort my r5 out!
maybe check the mixture screw,
tappets gaps a poss to...??
also you need to sort that carb
gasket, that fuel leak looked very shabby..

there must be either a bolt inside on the floor, or one underneath that you undo.

I imagine it will be in a cage that you wind down like you do on the boot of a five.
ahh bolt inside ill have to check that, i can see the whhel in a cage at the back theres but no where to unwind it ill go check inside thanx
:crap:
damm it i dont frigging belive this the only bolt i can see is in a real fidley place to get to, socket set wont reach adjustable cant grip keeps slipping of ,17mm spanner to small 19mm to big, and the only fricking spanner im missing from my set is 18mm.

Isn't it the same as the brace supplied to loosen the wheel bolts?
no thats what i wouldve thougfht but the only bolt i can see on the cage is much smaller, plus u cant even get a socket in as the nut is so close to the frame, making the socket to wide to grip
