PROBLEM...!!!! Bent Pushrod.....!!!!

ok in my my hast to start the car today i forgot to set my tappets and after some strange clunking noise and taking off the rocker cover i found three pushrods had come away and one was bent (number 3 from the left) now whats the procedure for changing them...??? do i chang 1? all of them ? is it head off etc..??? please help :(

also on 1,2,3,4 the pushrods have a little cream on the bottom now i think it might be from when i bleed the cooling system before and a little water went that way or do you think its took the head gasket out ? 5,6,7,8 are all clean and i drained the oil out the sump and that looked ok also the water looked fine....

any help is greatly apreciated

You could bend it back into shape, pop it in see how it goes, although id advise new ones...

More techie head req... When i remove them i take them out with the follower and keep them in order, as they all wear to each other if you get me, id just change the one individule

yup,just stick a replacement in there an away you go.

all i've ever done is replace the bent one, same when i've done pistons, liners etc as well...

if it aint broke, dont fix it :agree:
