Hi guys just a quikie

Ive just put a sidey on the 5 so been left with the exhaust hole at the back
ive had a go at cutting it out and smoothing it but cant seem to get it spot on .

So what im asking is your opinion on wheather a K-tec rear bumper would look ok on its own with the rest of the body kit std. Think it may look lower and not right;)

Cheers Dan

any aftermarket bumper looks pathetic on a r5, i run a side exit and i just let the rear bumper be what it is, it dont bother me tho

if your keeping the modded look then go with the k-tec,but if you're going to be changing the front end back to o.e then stick with the standard rear bumper & fill in the exhaust cut out.

iv seen a few very well done factory looking rear bumpers where they have cut out the exhaust hoop and then fillered in a part of another rear bumper, eradicating the exhaust hoop and making it all the same all across the back of the bumper, if that makes sense lol

I have the same thing atm hole in back bumper.
when i do get round to the body work im just gonna get an old tatty bumper cut the half circle out roughly so it fits skim it from behind with fibre glass filler (that u can buy from your local car sales shop or halfords) then just a light skim of normal body filler over the front sand it down and job done ;)
will look something like this....

Thanks this all helps

i have got rid of the ktec front bumper thats on my pic, now back to std .

So a ktec rear would look crap on its own then!:crap::crap:
looks like its time to get the filler back out / loi .
i dont think i could live with the exit hole at the back.

i think the ktec bumper would look big and stick out like a sore thumb when u have the rest of the oe kit in situ, anyways the best option is that picture thats already been posted up. looks factory that

The K-Tec rear bumper doesn't actually look too bad on an otherwise standard kitted 5 imo.

just try harder at getting the new piece to line up, it'll be worth it!

other option is cut it out leaving just the sides, would look awesome with a nice carbon rear diffuser too ;)
