View Full Version : Essex/ South East ND Convoy (FRIDAY)

Ok, this is what i'm thinking of doing on the Friday for National Day at Mallory Park. Anyone thinking of tagging along feel free to add your name and comment on my proposed ideas/times etc

I live in Southend, i'm looking at leaving at 1.30pm

Southend - Mallory Park 157.3 miles, approx 3hrs 18mins

Proposed route: A127, M25, M11, A14, M1.
Mallory Park is off junction 21, M1

Depart Southend 1.30pm
Birchanger Services at Stansted between 2.15-2.30pm
Cambridge Services approx 3.15- 3.30pm

The AA website is saying from Cambridge services it's approx 1h 43m and 79 miles to Mallory Park, so if we're good with the times above it means (traffic depending) we should arrive at Mallory around the 5pm mark. :)


I won't be hanging around too long at the meeting points as we can make good time to get to Mallory for the 5pm opening, so intended peeps make sure you have everything and you're fuelled up and ready to go :)

I am up for this, i need to talk to the miss's see when it the earlist she can be ready to leave by... i have to leave Ashford pretty early and prey theres no traffic.... oh and that the 5/5's are reliable...

Although if the weather is gonna be a wash out i may still take the diesel.

Join in with us Steve, what's the problem with the end of the A14? As in the A14 hooking up with the M1. Maybe there's an alternative route coming off the A14 and working our way up to Mallory on the A-roads

I may not be able to join the convoy as i may not be able to leave ontime to get to the services...

But i will just do a steady solid drive from ashford to Mallory......

Shoppers, yay or nay to meeting up or is it a last minute decision?

If not, Dale, i'll text you when i'm approaching the services so you can pull onto the M11. Can't see the point of me going right into the services to hook up with 1 person, i remember last time we stopped there it was proper packed :sad2:

I am hoping to leave ashford around 1:15pm.... but it will be decided friday morning... i will text, both Ricardo and Dale to let them know... I will do my very best to meet up with you guys.

should be leavin southend around 1.30 as well in my 11 so would be nice to travel up with a group although i'm stoppin off at coventry to meet up with rogerreno :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:

Birchanger Green Services is located junction 8 on the M11, there is a petrol station on site which is Shell so if needed there should be Super Unleaded on the pumps.

2pm is cool, we're aiming to be there no later than half past 2 :)

Looks like its going to be a nice convoy there. if you recon your going to be there for around two, ill make my way down there for that time, gives me time to have a quick stop after 20mins driving lol

Ok Shoppers, 2.30pm is the time i will be leaving to keep on time with the Cambridge meet up time though. Fingers crossed you're there :)
