Misc wire

Just wondering if anyone could identify the below pictured wire.

When changing my steering column bushes I noticed this was not connected to anything?.

Look part of the loom also.

I found that the other day when i was fitting my alarrm, mine wasn't connected to anything either !! didn't know what it was so i left it alone !:p

It looks like it could be from one of those remotes from an old stereo, or an old alarm wire?

its not the arial from the standard head unit is it?
