I've had this problem since... well... the beginning of times actually... :wasntme:
When I drive straight, my steering wheel tells me otherwise, i.e. it's rotated a few degrees. I've never spent much time worrying about it, but surely there's an easy fix... right? ;)

With the wheels straight, take the steering wheel off and put it back on straight ! :D:D

No fiddling required with the track rod ends? :)

:D...take a look at your track rod ends, are they showing signs of wear?
if so replace them an count the number of threads showing, should be around
6 or 7..

Damn that thing is on there pretty tight... it won't budge :(
I sprayed some WD40 on it, hit it a few times (okay a lot :D) with a hammer... the thing won't move a millimeter...

They are normally on pretty tight, leave the nut on a couple of threads and rock the steering wheel up and down as you pull it towards you :)

Definitely leave the nut on.It cost my friend a broken tooth a swollen upper lip and a door(he kicked the door in his anger):p:D.

my beaf cake of a m8 had to do it for me lol. he wedged his knee under the wheel whilst pulling back and upwards with his knee and wacked the the top of the wheel from behind and it budged quite easily like that. definatkey with the nut on a few turns. after the first time it comes of it seems to come off easy know.

i need to sort mine aswell as its not straight might get the tracking done first though.
