ok ratio question but im really shooting in the dark here.

Renault extra Deisel Van Gearbox.

A) this will fit the 5? as they all the same?

B) as its a deisel that would make it a torque'r ratio?

C) Andy Cook, which is the stronger box?

Yes the diesel box will fit on a C1J lump, i'm not too sure what the ratio's are though.

Thats the engine, nothing to do with the gearbox.

A diesel gearbox ratio's are different as a diesel engine doesn't rev as high as a petrol engine.

LOL im a ****tard. i thought the gearbox ratios where closer together and thats where the torque came from.

I know nothing about the diesel box, but if i was looking at an improvement, then it would normally come down to how the box is put together and with what material the gears are made from.
