a above fitted a new actuator and bought a new diaphram for it however I set it where the original one was and I'm getting minimal boost?? Do I need to tighten it or loosen it?

Tighten for more boost. Think half a turn normally is 2psi difference.

Standard actuator is circa 1psi for 2 whole revolutions. :)

You can preload the actuator via an air supply (ie 14 psi) then adjust the length of the arm.

Keep adjusting the actuator until it can hold the required PSI your after, make sure your pump reads PSI or calculate what PSI you want in bar. You want it so at just over that amount the actuator opens.

so plug the pump into the actuator on the car and rev it to see what boost im getting and adjust accordingly??

i think the best way to do this is to adjust it 2 turns at a time take it for a spin and see what psi you get, hot days will see lower psi and cold days wll see higher, but im talking -/+ 1psi

 no, you use the pump to create pressure
