emulsion tube question

Is the emulsion (unsure of spelling lol ) supposed to be removable where the air corrector goes in??

if it is, mine wont come out!

i used one of the screws that are used to sandwich the butterfly body to carb base
goes in 4 turns so was happy to use it n not damage threads but not completely sure if its wise or ok to use it

even stuck carb in oven for 20mins @ 70'c (bake till well done and savour the flavour of a petrol smelling oven) mrs werent happy!! lol

but still wont come out!!!!!

it will come out, it's a straight pull, but may take some force. Just don't pull the threads out if the centre :laugh:

Sweet, am sure i'd read somewhere that people had removed it, fink i'll bake it for abit longer and hotter temp lol :laugh:

no need to bake, just pull it out cold

I have seriously put some effort into getting the dam thing out n it aint happening,

tried it cold, tried it warmed, even stuff the stupid thing in the freezer, no joy, done it again in the freezer and warmed area aroned the tube..still No go...

When i warmed the carb i managed to get it to move 5 degrees left/right but still wont come out!!

Answer was yes - it does come out..

clamp the screw in a vice and gently tap the carb body away from the vice. Note the position of the cut out in the top (lines up with float needle valve)

Or use a pair of pliers, and pivot the pliers on the carb body to prise the tube out that way.

does the cutout in the top of the scre have to line up with the float needle valve then? not sure if i put mine in back like this.

And make sure the float chamber is topped with fuel to get the full effect...

i usually use a screw,like yours with a nut and a special washer i made up.a large nut might work so long as the e-tube can be drawn into it like a pullers!
