Hi

Probably a stupid question but thought i would ask

When you fit a front mount intercooler were do you put the over boost senser or do you leave it out as im looking at buying a universal intercooler an making a front mount but not sure about the over boost senser

Any help would be greatful

most people bin it, i read it can be adjusted so can be re-used at a higher boost limit...

noob qestion but how exactly does the over boost system work:scratch:
i see thw little white screw and is adjustable, but when it makes the banging sounds is this making it advance timing?

its just a pressure switch all it does is reach its set limit and cuts off the aei unit.

You can put the ends on a switch and it could possibly make flames out of the exhaust ;) :agree:

I don't know mate, on mine if the cars idling and you switch it the car cuts out completely. I've never tried switching it on and off quickly though.

I had one of the over boost wires work free a couple of months back when it touched I had a rather large flame come from the side exit, it just works as an ignition cut.:)

Can the boost sensor be unplugged on a standarded running car or is it not wise to do so

it can but no point if running the stock boost. if your running higher than 10/12psi disconect it, and if a clan engine bay is wanted just buy the right size bolt shorten it and then a bit of lock tight and do it up. some samco hoses dont have the hole for this. and so long as your controling your boost your be fine, unless the vacum hose to the acuater splits then you may over boost,

but youe soon know about it :burnrubber::satan:
