ok on mine it was disconnected at the top and the bottom connection facing the the engine, noe as per this drawing

i assume the bottom connection is the fuel supply to the carb and the top one is a vacuum connection to the carb but im a little iffey on where they go now ive got the double t-piece and did the connection to both botom and top of the carb (as per dialogy) but the one that goes arround the front of the carb to the other side im unclear where that goes, can any one help please i attached a couple of pics of what i have done so far

reg
top - carb top
bottom - return to tank
sides - fuel pump and float chamber

missing pipe goes to the standard boost gauge, should be a stiff pipe around the bulkhead.

my 2nd picture from the right hand side of the carb am i correct in saying the pipe is connected to the correct outlet then goes up to the AEI?

not sure, you want the one that's below the butterfly

Just seen your pics matey and the valve you have inline from the vnt actuator to carb top is not a bleed valve it only works when setting max boost on an on car adjustable kit however you adjust it you will be boosting 30+psi
