I saw that on ebay and quite liked the look of it, what is wrong with it then?

Doesn't look too bad aslong as its not a total & utter rotbox.

If you have a new shell it may help.

A true contradiction of terms - "no comment" - but you made a comment

looks OK to me for £1600.00

Sounds more to me like you're bitter about something and have come on here to vent. Probably just helped advertise the chaps car tbh.

It may well have done in 2004, it would have been a top car driven by chris harris. It is a bargain if you want to strip all the parts off no doubt, but you will need to spend good money to sort it out for road use.

Well thank you for letting our members know, but anybody buying a car of Ebay with out looking at would always take a risk!

End of the day its a 20 year old french piece of cheap tin... Rust will always happen unless its kept in a bubble.

Just had a look at said car on e-bay and I think it looks well worth £1600.

Did you go and look at he car? if yes what was wrong with it?

alister

Well I saw this thread after I agreed to buy the car......
Meant to be picking it up on sunday, Ive contacted the seller, so watch this space.
At the end of the day r5's are rusty, my first one had been crashed, repaired badly and sat in a field for a couple of years...... That was my welcome to the world of r5's, looked ok until carpet out, bumpers off, battery tray out(nasty place under there!), wings off, skirts off(usual sill rust)

I'm not expecting it to be mint, its a track car, aslong as its driveable and got an mot then all good for me.

Did you not view it before buying Alister?

Ive not paid anything for it, agreed to pay outside of ebay, or did you mean the first r5 i bought?
The 2 r5's ive bought before, both off ebay, both from the ipswitch area, both involved a 4 hr train ride to get there, jump in car, drive home.

You could say either a) I'm a fool, b) I have balls of steel, or c) errr option A again! ha

Good look , I am sure you will be happy with it.

If you are handy & get it at the right price.

Why is there no writings in the posts?
Going O.T.T. on the whole 'no comment' thing

And what car is it? I feel so left out.

It was a 5 GTT built by Mark Fish Motorsports

God knows why he edited all of his posts, he's just made himself look a total plum
