Right.

I've basically got to the point of removing the column to change the bushes. The last thing to do is disconnect the ignition. I've disconnected the 2 plugs but I have a immobiliser which is wired in to these thus I cannot take the fooking thing out :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Any ideas chaps?

Label the wires, cut them & re join them when refitting, Its the only way if the wires have been butchered as the wiring has to pull through the metal that the barrel fits into.

Ok wires are cut and free.

Now I can't get the inner shaft free from the uj!!! The bolt is almost right out, do I need to remove this totally?

How was the job mate as i'm thinking of doing mine.

Basically i was on a hard lock the other day and a little crunch later it feels extremely weird and stick. It also has more play.

From what you could see does it wear the shaft?

The bushes are rubber. It took me a couple of hours to take apart but 20mins to put back together. I had alot of alarm/immobilser bits to take off. £14 each for the bushes.
