Ive just noticed that my 11 is sitting lower than i remember on the rear end.
From looking at some previous pic to what it is like now, it seems to be about 2" lower
It looks good but i am worried as to why this has happened, i would suspect a failed shock but its the same on both sides :crap:
Any ideas whats wrong and has it happened to anyone else in the past?
rock the car at both sides at the rear and see if the shocks are gone .
having said that even with the shocks removed ,it would not drop
2 inches unless you got some dead bodies in the boot .
Is it possible that the rear was resting on the bump stops, that have now perrished ?

even with fooked shocks torsion bars will not allow them to rest on bump stops mate .
sounds silly but have you checked both bars are still there ??
I reckon a torsion bar has snapped, Happened to me many years ago!
what do the bump stops look like and where are they? I've never seen them before?
No bump stops on the 11t. The extra van has bumpstops though, rectangular shape that fix to the chassis rails.

I was thinking of the bump stops on the damper, but interesting to know that the extra has stops on the chassis leg, you don't have any spare do you ? :)
11 turbos have rear bush problems dont they?
Aye they do, Mine failed both sides, I reckon the torsion bars snapped due to it:crap: Check for play in all directions. If it has failed Haz may have one on my old 11t...
Ill keep my eye out for a set of those bumpstops scoff, only got the set on my van at the mo. Next time I have it jacked up ill take a photo:) My 11t did have bumpstops on the rear shocker too, only small ones though.
