once a pump has jammed with what ever has stopped it working is there any way of flushing petrol the wrong way or reversing the polaritys to un-jam it?

my e30 pump did the same and i couldnt fix it coz it was a sealded unit,

please some one must have a old working fuel pump


and also

i got a new filter but the one that is on it is half the size and hasnt got any screw parts, just fuel lines! (inline filter od about 1 inch)

also on the aux tank i pursume thats a priming pump?? thats connected to the front of it?? :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

just been offered a non turbo 1.4 r5 pump. are they the same??

Yes if its 1985 on. My book at work says they are all the same :agree: 5/9/11/18/19(ohv only)/21 and the 2L 25's

I always thought the NA Renault 5's had a mechanical fuel pump.

You are right, however if he has asked for an electrical one. They did fit some to the NA ones. I took it as that he had got offered an electrical one off a normal 5 and would they be the same

That pump on the aux tank is to pump fuel from the aux tank into the main tank when it gets too low, you will hear it work as its a noisey bugger.

yer i heard it tursday, i was off to hastings saturday im glad it packed up today and not saturday, tho its raining all week end i dont think ill be going any were:sad:
