Woke up the other day and noticed my boot is sticking out a little less than a inch on the top right hinge. Looked cloesly and from what i can tell i think the hinge is somehow bend, there appears to be no ripped metal, no cracks. Bit crap really :(

Nah, that just needs adjusting. loosen the torx screw on the inside, re-align and tighen back up :)

Have you taken off the little plastic trim below that hinge & checked that the boot hinge bolt isn't loose??

Can't see the hinge bending??

you say the torxx bolt, where abouts is that , all i see is 2x welded higes to the boot which slide into the roof skin , and then the 2 bolts on the underside (which are both tight)

Ill bet the hinge is bent, The hinge seizes up & bends when opened. Happened on my gtt!

Take it off & the hinge will be really stiff, work some wd40 into it to free it off. Be careful removing the bootlid, Its easy to dent the roof as i found out.

Still not tackled this job, probably one for the weekend. As for the torx bolt previosuly mentioned i can only see the bolts under neath the plastic flat at the back of the roof lining , am i right in saying these are the only adjustment within the boot.
