Soft pedal conversion

Ive got all the parts now for my soft pedal conversion, but im unsure as to which way the bracket is mounted to the gear box. My engineering background knowledge :scared: tells me that its going to be the 1st piccie.

am i right?

Im not very clued up on this but, i would say the first one, as you got more surface contact then the second one.

I fitted mine the same way as the first piccy :D
