idle problem and head gasket i think help me

hi, i changed my fuel filter and i thought i would take it out for a bit of a thrash. when i got back i realised the car would nt idle very well. it has had a new carb and was set up correctly but i think my head gasket has gone. does anyone know the easiest way of checking it. any help would be great!

you probably need a bit more info to get an answer!

but try checking under the oil cap for mayo!!!
or in the header tank for icecream!!

Failing that pull the idle jet out the carb and give it a blow! might have got dirt in it...very common if youve been fettling with the carb.

what woulda made ure headgasket go?
