a subject I know almost nothing about, so take it with a pinch of salt..

What's C36? I think that's what the stuff I read about in the US is called.

Be careful with anything with high % of methanol/ethanol as it eats aluminium, I only know about how tricky it is on single seaters to avoid clogging injectors with corroded aluminium.

I'm not sure if this is any use, I read it once and glazed over..

pro-stock 118 is what used to get used on the strip back in the day. It refused to detonat, almost impossible to blow your motor up, but it made no power at all. I could run 9:1 and 25psi no problem at all. Even a 50/50 mix with pump fuel was enough to make the car feel really flat off boost though. much better than that was a 10% mix of aldons octane boost, same det supression without needing a tonne of advance to go anywhere.

Andy you may mean c16? been looking at the VPs new Q16, seems to be a good fuel with good results over in US... Thinking about giving it ago this year.

Scoff do you not feel you may benifit more with a race fuel on your current build and mapping skills?

Clip from VP http://www.vpracingfuels.com/vp_comp_movie.asp

i hear that a guy recently made an extra 70hp just by swapping to q16 and remap? do you think in time to come such fuels are worth a try on are high boost drag cars...

I don't have enough compression Rob to have worry about octane.

It was more interested in the higher oxygen than octain? :coffee:
