Im currently running 15 clio 16v alloys, but since putting the willwoods on they catch ever so slighty on the inside of the rim.

I cant even get any weights on the wheels :crap:

Has anyone else had this problem, is my only option to get 16"?

cheers

You can turn a few mm off the o/d of the disc and mod the brackets to move the calipers in a touch. as long as you don't mind having a 282mm disc conversion!

Thinking about it, you might be able to relieve the caliper a bit, if it's that close.

Other 15" wheels will clear just fine. I've got Phase II Valver wheels (teardrop) and they don't clear 285s. Team Dynamics and O.Z. will but, always check before you buy.;)

The car will handle better on 15s but if you're defo going for 16s, then you need to look at 195/40/16 profile to stay anywhere close to speedo accuracy.

I had the same problem with the 285mm conversion on the standard calipers, they'd catch on the weights on my p1 clio 16v's. Im sure when they balance the wheels they can put the weights on the outside if specified, look :disagree: tho.

I changed my setup to a 172/182 disc (280mm) with a hi-spec caliper now.

They can balance the wheels just on the inside, thats what done on mine, no awful weights showing and wheels turn without hitting the weights. They just fit inside my alloys.

clio williams wheels fit fine with the 285 disc and the weights also :agree:

I had same prob, i fitted mine last week and the caliper was slightly catching on the weights on 1 side, so i left it as they only made of lead and they have rubbed clear.

Only prob i have now it i get slight wheel wobble @ 70-80 :(

gonna have to get it re balanced.

On the plus side though, the car sure stops alot better now :)
