New poster! (less than 10 posts)
Thought ill post up my build thread that ive done since i got her back in march 09
here are some more pics when i first got the car and towed it home.

Renault meet Warrior, Warrior meet Renault

thought ill post some pic up from last weekend when i used my uncles hoist/crane.
managed to take the engine out and replace flywheel and starter motor.
also picked up myself a spaire engine in the background, was cheaper to get a complete engine then buy the parts seprate
just waiting for the weather to clear up so i can put her back in :P

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn166/marksbaldbits/DSC_0075.jpg

Finally put the engine back in today, Big thanks to MO for lending me his engine crane :thumb:
Also uprated the clutch to a heavy duty one.
Should have her up and running tomo depending on weather :P
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn166/marksbaldbits/DSC_0077.jpg

After been under the car a few times i noticed i needed a bit of welding done for a MOT, so i went to a local garage that does welding to check it out and give me a price. he put it on the ramps and quoted me £20 cause it was only a little bit needed, OK ill bring it in monday, good see you then.
The guy ended up ripping off the side skirts to do the welding as they was burning
Unfortunatly my Renault 5 bodykit has all been smoothed in (NOT BY ME) by previous owner
So im going to have to take every thing off, Sand all the filler, fibre glass out back to original and start from fresh as there is crackes every where    Talk about 2 steps foward 10 steps back

I'm loving the matt black finish I must say!

I went over a few areas of my car car in matt black (as a primer) and I'm almost tempted to spray the whole car now!

Did you just use rattle cans? :)

Cheera fellas, Liking the clio mate:cool:, so need to get myself a front mount intercooler, but not sure what one will fit behind the standard bumper with abit of modification

Yeah i just used Halfords rattle cans, i used X 7 cans in the end:)
you will probly need x 10 in toltal if you was going to do the inside.
I will be doing the inside when i finish putting my engine back together, exspect serious finger PUMP!!!!

what protects the matt black paint.?

i get the impression that if you were to rub your nail on the paint it would leave a white line.?
does it get marked easily?

in regards to an i/c i managed to get this monster behind a standard bumper

I've fitted quite a few of those universal intercoolers now in various sizes, quite easy to do once you know where you want to route the pipework.

for the responsive 170hp you're talking about you won't want anything as big as these guys, there are a couple of threads showing intercoolers behind the standard grill.

Out of interst mate, did you have enough room to remove the dash with the cage in ??

I had to unbolt the devil cage in my cup car at the top in order to get enough flex in it to pull the dash out slightly, Just enough to replace the dash loom. The dash wouldent come fully out without removing the cage

Not the nicest job :D;)
