New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Hi folks, succesfully managed to lower the rear end thanks to the guides posted on here but I have a small problem! rear wheels locking up under hard braking as I am unable to adjust the compensator (rusted bad) think if I force it to much it will break

Is there anyway you guys can think of to sort it out or am I going to have to bite the bullett and buy a new compensator?

thanks for the help.

is it the lever arm thats seized or just the rod?

have u tried plus gas/wd40 or something similar to soak it in?

look at where the spring hooks through the compensator arm,it
can were very thin an eventually just 'rust' off,if it looks ok try
as markey b says soak it in plus gas etc...new from renault they
were about £130

If its the rod which that gose from compensator to rear trailing arm.

You could just cut old off and put a second hand one on that can be adusted ;)

I can only get hold of the 4coil versions of the rear compensators. Mine was a 2 coil rod, would there be much difference in the two?
