View Full Version : WINE
Yes wine!
does any one know if it has an expiry date.?
the reason i ask is ive got 8 bottles of blue nun white wine that have been sat in the garage for 11years. the actual age of the wine is also 11years. it says 1998 on the label.
now i dont drink so rather than tipping it down the drain i thought id give some to the neighbours.
the garage is very dull inside and can get cold.
any ideas.?
red you can keep but i am sure white turns very acid like , but dont quote me and that crack a bottle open ,mite have alot off sedament as well:)

i cant be bothered with opening a bottle.
the wine looks very clear with no bits or anything like that. all the bottles are corked not plastic capped. they have not been moved in 11years, they just been sat in the same place, 6 on a shelf and 6 in a box on the shelf.
They'll either be drinkable or not, try some and if your throat disolves bin the rest :agree:

Probably not worth it mate. Blue nun's a very sweet wine and the shelf life is probably less than half that. It's not the best quality of wines in the world.

I made the mistake of drinking a 12 year old bottle of wine when drunk a month or 2 back and I will tell you now its not worth it. It tasted of feet and had some very questionable stuff in the bottom of the glass and bottle after i finished it. If you do decide to drink it make sure youre already hammered when u open it.

If my neighbour came round to give me even one bottle of Blue Nun, I'd drop my trousers, squeeze out a log, and give it to them as a fair swap!

Bettered only by the time I turned up to my mates house one NYE with two bottles of £2.99 "Vin de Table - Made in Spain". Lol.
