Started my engine up for the first time since rebuilding it and its started up first time which was rather surprising lol but now i have a slight problem......

.....bled the coolant through and got it coming through both bleed screws but the coolant seems to get hot really quick, only had it running for 5-10mins the coolant was getting hot, the rad fan was cutting in, and the temp gauge light was lit but the temp gauge was at the bottom??

Also fitted an aux. oil pressure gauge and found when first started up its running at approx 3 bar but once running for 5-10 mins drops down to 1 bar, is this normal??

Any help is much appreciated

i think 1 bar at idle when the engine is warm sounds about right someone else could confirm not sure about when cold did you refurb the oil pump? more then likely im thinkin 3bar idle is ok?? again someone could confirm:agree:

i wonder why i have a caparse it has no gauges. the only ones i have fitted are for show
basicaly if the work is done propperly there should be no need for gauges
