I'll go for:

Kubica, Massa, Alonso.

To be honest though, this year I really don't know. I think that's a great thing for F1 this year! :)

Although we still have to wait to see what the out come will be regarding that rear diffuser.

"The 24-year-old will start from 18th after he initially qualified 15th but was given a five place grid penalty for changing his gearbox, and moved to the back. However, Toyota's Timo Glock and Jarno Trulli, who had qualified sixth and eighth, were then sent to the back of the grid after their upper rear wings were found to contravene regulations, moving Hamilton up two spots. "

Be interesting to see what is said about the other teams using "legal" rear wings....

I watched qualifying this morning, was up at 5am :D texting the 1 like Spooky as he's a big F1 fan. It's so good to see how it panned out, refreshing to see it wasn't the same old same old up the top of the leaderboard :)

I'll say it now, i've always been a fan of Jenson Button over the years, it's been a shame watching how it's gone for him and then to see Hamilton come into F1 the way he did. Even so, i've preffered Button and glad things are finally (hopefully) going his and the teams way. A huge effort not only from the drivers (salary decrease) but the whole team and with Ross Brawn taking charge at the helm :agree:

It's early days but it's looking good, and yes THANK GOD F1 is rightfully back at the BBC

As text to Mart earlier, if ever a car to have a PMT sticker it would be the BrawnGP ones :D plenty of room on there for it. David and Goliath stuff :)

I've was there for all of yesterday and gotta say that the new rules haven't taken anything away from the spectacle of F1! Don't think the Renault looks half as bad in the flesh. Aussie V8s were pretty cool too. They've broken my Oz Motorsport cherry!

Was due to hit the track later today for the main event but, things have transpired to keep me away.

Had a participants permit but couldn't get anywhere near the F1 Paddock:sad2:.

Looks like i'll be watching it on the box like the rest of you.

I am glad you liked it there yesterday! :agree:

Shame you cant be there today, but atleast on the telly you get to see all the action. Shame you could get in the paddock, typical tho tbh.

Go Button!!

Richard Branson definitely has the Midas touch but, not taking anything away from Ross Brawn wow! What a turn around for a team that shouldn't exist anymore.

Top result for all, well done Jenson and Rubens:cool:.

PMT underdogs FTW! :)

Chuffed to bits that Brawn GP came 1st & 2nd, and even more chuffed that it was Jenson taking the top spot. He must be over the (Button) moon! :D

Fair play to Hamilton for raking up a 4th place from starting last on the grid.

Great start to the new season :agree:

Hamilton was bumped to 3rd, Trulli was given a 25 second for overtaking while safety car was out :)

Just amazed at Kubica/ Vettel - Kubica clearly would have taken Vittel in the three remaining laps at the pace he was running & could have yielded without really losing time, even if the blame was (perhaps) slightly more with Vittel..

think they penalised him for being a bad boy and overtaking under yellows, glock now 4th I think

lets just hope they don't get to silly at the hearing over difusers. thankfully massa wasn't third as for sure they would be taking the win away from brawn, as its hamilton can you see the FIA gifting hamilton a win? great for jenson though

it's too early in the year for the FIA to start massaging the results....

The diffuser was apparently ok'd by the race stewards, so they should be ok. Mind you, the same was said (at the time) of Hamilton's move on Kimi at Spa last year, yet we all know what the eventual outcome of that was... :crap:

Wish I'd stuck a one'er on Brawn GP ending 1st & 2nd for this race - The odds were circa 100-1 prior to qualifying... :(

the cockpit view with the rev counter and that was cool , loved the extra 80hp battery thing on hamiltons car , almost like a shot of nos as it only last 7 secs ,cool all the same though

great race really pleased with the results for Brawn GP for sure but see teams seriously need to sort out there pit stops this year theyve gone from 6-10 seconds dependant on fuel and today i dont think any team except ferrari was under 10 seconds in the pits!

As for the diffuser thing i hope coultard is right by what he said before the race and that even if they have to be changed after the post malaysia hearing that the results from the first 2 races will stand, otherwise this is just another negative for the sport and there have been some totally shocking decisions by the fia over the last few years

i am going to be totally biased and say FFS!!!! Does anyone know what Mclaren are supposed to have hidden from the FIA/stewards?

5teve L
02-04-2009, 17:56
A convo between Lewis & the pits/boss saying he had to or was letting Trulli past apparently, something gay like that anyway.... Mclaren aren't fighting it so it must be something like that.

Trevhib
02-04-2009, 22:12
Amazing. There had to be some way of the FIA taking points off McLaren  It's a feckin joke.

Looks like there was some mild naughtiness going on though.

Whatever the case, I'm loving the new season already.

What with this, and that shananigans with McLaren 'obtaining' Ferrari data from several months back, it's beginning to show a few true colours of Ron Dennis & co :sad2:

Now watch the media turn on Hamilton, and in turn, start ass licking Jenson instead...

To be fair, Hamilton should of ignored team order's, he f*cked up and should of been man enough to accept that.

But i am sure he hasnt been the only driver/team to have lied to the FIA past & present.
