Im now an agent for linear logic so im selling these babies for a living.
On a side note - I know the Renault 5 GT Turbo is too old for this device but if you went EFI and had a new ecu would that have OBD2 port?
no it wouldnt.
it only for manufacturers of vehicles to meet euro emission regs.
after 2000 for petrol cars, 2006 for diesel.
you should know this if you are gonna sell that stuff.
its alot harder than you might think to make a living selling the diagnostics tools...
infact, ive just had alook at the scangaugeII, and its basically an EOBD reader that is designed for dashbord mounting.
have you looked at some of the stuff the chinese are selling? - then you get more mark up, if you buy direct from factory....
I know that Sparkie I just didnt know about The EFI conversionand the ECU it would use.
no mate, they dont have to meet euro regs ;)

Got a scanguage 2 on the vx and has been ok, shows any error codes and allows you to reset if required. But use mine to monitor charge temps / volts / water temp & rpm on mine.
