split water hose [Archive]

hi all, i sprung a leak from the large water pipe that goes to the back of the water pump.
i think the car is ok and ive saved everything , but when i removed the split hose the thermostat was just laying inside it, is this ok?

ive ordered a full set of samco's anyway , sod the expense.

I guess you mean the top rad hose with the thermostat inside?

when you get your new hoses just pop the thermo inside the new one and hold in place with a jubilee

i thought as much but just wanted to be sure, thanks for the advice
