You need some glasses to have a look at a Renault with a turbo on the roof?!

Not quite understanding what figures your looking for??

You tried the 1/4 Mile table (http://www.rtoc.org/cgi-bin/leader_board.cgi)?

was there any need for the sarcasm there?

you know what i meant.

just typical specs such as bhp, torque, speeds. for a standard engine with a t25 instead of a t2.

Chill out mate!! It was only a joke!

Does that 1/4 mile table not answer your question??

If you just swap a T25 turbo for a T2 i doubt it makes any difference whatsoever, you need to set the car up to suit the T25 such as fuelling & boost pressure.

It really is a case of how long is a piece of string... Standard cam? What boost?

i know i know i wasnt being agressive. u just read it wrong.

yes its all being set up correctly to suit it. member richie is doing it all for me. he has built a new engine up and supplied me with a new t25 so it will be set up correctly. i want to keep it on standard boost for now as i have blown it up 3 times already.:ashamed: then have a play when its all ran in properly.

yes its standard cam nd head etc.

120~130hp give or take, assuming o.e c/r

If you're keeping it at o.e boost levels, you'll probably find the car more 'fun' to drive with a standard turbo fitted.

many people told me that for fast bursts and a quicker ride to get a t25. :(

I wouldnt have thought you could get the full pontential out of the T25 without a laryer cam?? Mine has a T25 and a bb highlift cam (piper 285) and at 16psi produced 140something brake with high (to high) charge temps

Yeah thats true but you will need to up the boost and fuel correctly etc. As has been mentioned if you are going to keep the car standard with standard boost etc and correct fueling, dont expect to see much above 130bhp.

I had mine RR'ed at 8psi before I started setting up the carb etc and it made 138bhp but take this figure with a pinch of salt as I dont trust RR power figures.

aw right. well im not sure what psi richie is setting it all up to so i will have to wait and see.

You need to know what boost level Richie is setting the car up for.

My advice would be to tell him to set it for 15psi max and then just run it at 15psi from the off. No point in reducing that to 8psi 'for running in purposes'. The fuelling wont be right. It's debatable whether running an engine in is worthwhile anyway.

20/21 psi manifold, 285 cam, t25, low comp pistons,FMIC = 207bhp/209lbft.

Amen to that!!

Ive just spent the morning fitting a rebuilt T2 (spanks a lot Mr AdamL :agree: :D ) to the phase 1. Then the afternoon out and about finding some nice b roads for a bit of fun. Oh i have missed the urge of a T2.
Came back and kicked the pile of ****e tomcat T25 that came off all over the back garden before finishing off it with a might slam dunk in the bin!

Same specs as a T25. .49. Boosts the same.. ah i don't know :)

Edit: This hybrid turbo features a highly efficient / high flow T25 compressor wheel which is presicely matched to to a larger T25 high flow compressor housing compared to the KTR 180. It also features a T25 bearing housing

A lot of T25

Ha i know was just getting intrigued about what KTR turbo is actually a T25. I was told by previous owner that it's a T25 so i'm just going off that.

I'm assuming this is a joke in terms of advice to Haizy. Or simply a post up of what's possible with a certain spec.

What is possible...
I wouldn't reccomend anything over a bar unless the carbs been worked at the very least..

i have blown it up 3 times already.:confused::ashamed: .

how did you manage to blow it up 3 times? have you worked that bit out yet?

if it comes to it, im in chepstow most weekends and i usually goto the cineworld cinema in newport retail park quite often....so i could potentially have a look at it.

id measure your head depth whilst you are at it and post the results here. should be about 73mm thick.

I think Richie has pulled the head off the car already and said it didn't look healthy, i'm going over there sunday to put the new engine in so will have a good look too and see what went wrong with the old one.

the head wasnt torqued down as i undone the head bolts with far to much ease .The turbo has seized as the shaft needs alot of pressure to rotate. the wiring for the brake pads were wired up to the possitive terminal on the battery so that was constantly on and some other wiring issues that should now be sorted.

however on a good note its a very nice raider good bodywork and pretty much std. it will make a nice car once completed
