View Full Version : fmic fitting, pipes catching on bumper

Fitted a universal cooler, the 550x180x65. Had it on for a couple months now, i havnt managed to get the fogs in but think i can from screwing them in from the side.

But the pipe is hitting on the back of the bumper (the fog surround) and its rubbing abit, i think with time itl work its way through, anyone got any ideas?

Hi Mate,

You could consider replacing the hoses with alloy hard pipe which should be more resistant to rubbing. If you have the dimensions and diameter, Merlin Motorsport should be able to make them up for you fairly cheaply. Alternatively you can get 'cheap' intercooler fitting kits on ebay - not sure on the quality though..

Or do as the forge front mount kit says trim a little from the back of the foglight area ;)

think if i trim some off i mite not be able to use fogs. Might try the alloy pipe version see how i get on thaks

You don't have to trim that much to loose a foglight
