well i took my fly wheel off and decided to take it into work over sat and sun so that i could lighten it on the lathe. i was able to spend all weekend on as we had nothing to do anyway. the weight of the flywheel before i started was 6.6kg and i was able to get it down to 5.2kg. didnt fancy going any lower than that. god knows how they can take 30% off without weakening it.
heres a couple of pics including a tool i used so could clean the clutch plate face.

Looking fresh mate :niceone:
If you ever see the CTM (Big Jim) flywheel's, you'll notice that they mill out slots around the outer face of the flywheel. I did an accurate weight gauge this morning with my hands, against a stock flywheel, and it's certainly noticable.

That's the same 9 slot flywheel I have, although I mailed it out today to get some work done to it.
