Hi guys I was just fiddling about inside the stereo compartment there was a little spark next thing I know I had no dashboard working.........no dials are working no gauges nothing the dashboard light comes on when I twist the headlight stalk that's it.......What have I done I have checked the fuses it seemed to blow a couple I have renewed them but still have no dash :scratch::scratch::scratch: is there a relay or something for this :confused::confused:

re check the fuses mate im assuming you have insulated the naked wire

I'll go and have another check it seemed to blown 3 fuses I did refit them all but i'll give it another look

Just checked again and it was a fuse....But its weird as seven fuses have been blown i have changed them all now but it seems that number 4 supposedly being my wiper washer seems to reblow kinda strange.....Cheers Ritchie

It sounds to me like the shorted wire was probably the illumination circuit as it shares the earth for each component hence blowing so many fuses
