gearbox selector pin?

I invested in a quick shift kit for my gt but im struggling to change the pin that the selector rod fits to . I have removed the circlip from the box but i cannot for love nor money remove the two halved bush that is surrounding it. Any ideas people or advice on removing the halved bush?

the kit is the ebay one im sure more than one member has them?

right , finaly got the pin changed but alas now i cant get reverse , do you lenghten the selector rod to engage reverse if it wont or shorten ive tried both but no luck? looked in haynes and it says find 2nd on the box and go from there but i cant tell if the box is indeed in 2nd how can you tell ? is 2nd so the selector is tight to box but toward the front of the car?

sorted , bent selector rod was causing the trouble . re bent it and all seems ok ;)
