View Full Version : r5 pulls left on braking
My r5 pulls strongly to the left on braking, just going to try bleeding up the system, Is there anything to note when bleeding these r5's do you have to bleed the adjustment thing near the rear beam .
Failing that i presume it may have a ****ed caliper, just gota find which one then.

Could be your o/s front not putting in as much effort as the n/s, also check your tyre presures i've found in the past that a low presure in one side would cause it to pull.

Are you shocks on the right way round?
If you try driving in a straight line does it try and pull to the left as well?
Also check the boot hasn't split & grease is on the dics/caliper, or you have an oil leak spraying oil on them.
all sounds good suggestions, tyre pressures are fine, can you put shocks on the wrogn way, dont think they are but maybe i should check, anything easy to look out for >??,
just to add the car drives straight, only under braking is this an issue.

if they're very old the inside lining might have collapsed.you may find it harder to force back the piston on the non-working side

Try the simple things out first, strip and clean both front brakes, swap the pads about n/s inner goes to your o/s outer and vice verser, see if that works

Probably inequal efficiency if its only on braking.
Easiest thing to do is whip out both sets of pads and see which has more meat on them (presuming the last time they were replaced both sides were done). If one side has more meat than the other, take the caliper off, strip it down and give it a good clean/wire-brushing, greasing and re-assemble.
