heater matrix

i have just looked at the articles about replacing the matrix.
but the question i need answering isnt on there.

ive got the matrix out. got the whole heater box out.

now when coming to fit the new one its asif it doesnt fit. do i need to take the plastic casing of the botom as the old one hasnt got it. see pics thanks

have just taken it off and blacked taped the foam back on the bottom, and it fits.

ive just taken the fan motor of the top of the heater box. does this just slide back in?

as bit worried about how it connects back up as there looks like two connections that i can see how they get joined back up thanks

heater fan goes in same way you took it out,maybe clean up
contacts first an slot it in

yeah tried to get it in, not sure if im seating it right.

also i tried to clean up the contacts inside the casing. does the grill come out? as i cant really get to them it looks like it does... and i need to get to the one i took of to make it seat properly.
