how to remove steering wheel

how does a r5 steering wheel come off, i removed the centre bolt but it seemed pretty firmly fixed still and i didnt want to rag to hard on it.

put the bolt on for a couple of threads to stop u breaking your nose then sit in the drivers seat and rock the steering wheel as u pull as it will be stuck on the splines should go eventually:agree:

Pull like a maniac and watch out not to knock yourself out. Just pull. HARD!

To save you the effort hit yourself with a bat in the face then drive round mine and we will get it off.

As opposed to on. Coz i aint like that.

I've tried many of times to pull mine off and it dont budge for nothing :crap:

The trick is to not pull, it won't go anywhere. you need to whack it from behind on opposite sides in turn. In other words, with your palm or a rubber hammer you need to hit the outer edge of the steering wheel from behind, left hand side then right hand side repeatedly until it free's off. Leaving the nut on a couple of turns will save a lot of pain, as mentioned.
