R5 GTT - 1 ........... Punto GT1 - 0

Just had a (fully legal with no speed limits broken) drive in the countryside following a R5 and lost badly. G plate GT with gloss black bumpers and it was quick :D it just drove away from me on the corners :disagree: to be fair to my punto' it handles like sh*t as the missis found out at mallary :crap: and is laggy to the max :( Not seen this 5 around here before and was'nt supporting a RTOC sticker that i could see anyway. Might have been a different story in a straight line?! ;) My street sleeper lost :cry: Bring on the sun so my baby can come out to play :cool:

Happy days (well for us gtt owners). I used to see off a so called 200bhp punto gt in my 150bhp gtt all the time back in the day;)

My 5 handles so much better than the punto but its the other things like ABS and power steering that are nice to have for day to day poppering around ;) Will never replace any 5 though by a long way :D

i creamed a Toyota Prius off the lights today, he was well impressed:D

not that im into racing or traffic light drag racing with rude boys, but there are no old skool motors going about that would tempt me..

im tempted to go to a 80/90s style cruise event just to see some motors:(

Yea i know what you mean. spotted a XR2 MK2 the other day and it was mint. Brings back some memories :) Loved them days with the 205 gti, XR2, 5 turbo, RS turbo's. Quality :D

i had a 200 bhp fiat uno turbo a few years ago was nippy in a straight line.
but when it came to a corner was terrible

Toyota prius? aren't they half electric, you badman:wasntme: the last shindig I had was up your neck of the woods at the basingstoke road end onto the motorway against a rover turbo. It was dead level upto 80 and then I backed off, i had a slight electrical problem at the time though. But since when I nearly binned my van driving at an almighty 37 miles an hour a couple of months back, I drive like a grandma now adays and let everyone thats in a hurry get on with their lives.:cartman::scared:
