:sad2:

Been out putting a few miles on the 225 engine, and everythings great apart from an oil leak thats just developed. It looks like it could be the crank oil seal, dribbling down from behind the fly wheel. Thing is it only leaks when the engine is off? I've checked everything else and all seems dry. Anyone had a similar prob on the f series blocks?? Im not using the original flywheel which may or may not have anything to do with it. If its deffo that, then its engine out!

the rear main oil seal is the crankshaft seal gearbox end its behind the flywheel usually u can see oil on the bottom of the gearbox and between the sump and gearbox join

yeah my fears exactly. Its dripping down from what looks like behind the flywheel.

yeah that sounds like its the seal, perhaps the seal isnt sat correctly hence why its leaking oil past it :( it will be a gearbox out and flywheel off and a new seal
