That is looking really nice mate, makes me want to take a few pits of mine and repaint them.

One thing i have to ask, you did sand all the paint off the top of the block didn't you before the head went on? Noticed you had painted the whole block and not masked off any area.

im sure you'll find an electroplaters in manchester. i couldnt tell you how much all the engine bay brackets cost as i had alot more done in one go. im sure i paid £50 for all the bits on the table to be plated. but this was around 2 1/2 yrs ago!

what's the fiat engine in the background?

Are you struts on back to front? Difficult to be sure from the angle.

Looking good :)

Paint on the top of the block worries me, as does the paint behind the timing chain cover. it might flake eventually and end up in the oil!

Slightly off subject, but whats the pipe in this photo for exactly, is it a return for the oil to the sump? Whats likely to happen if it wasn't there? I had it left over after a re-build and could'nt think where it went :ashamed:. Now I know :).

It is dipstick canal/pipe. ;)

Oil return is located on the side of the sump.
