Plastic stereo surround

Where can i get one? Think i seen one on an r5 once.Mine looks ugly at the moment how you can see the cage.Thinking of relocating my stereo in the future and noticed some r5s without stereos had a plasic panel(with a renault badge i think?) on to blank over the hole.These are prob not available and hard to get hold of but wondered if anyone had one? If not im sure i could make one or smooth it over.

I don't have it anymore sorry. Sold it with a car a long time ago. Have a look on ebay. Someone may be breaking one?

IMO the OE blanking plates don't look great. Not a bad compromise if you're weight saving (and don't have a stereo), but want to keep the centre console I suppose.

Also, if you can see the cage around your radio, then I'd wager you're actually missing a surround that should have come with it.

Not a great picture I know that but I got a blanking plate from halfords, when I was working there they use the plates to cover up the holes in the boards. Its secure in there with the clips and dont look too bad really, better than seeing the wires inside

You can still buy the original sterio blanking plate from Renault. I bought one last year. Unfortunatly they dont come with the Renault badge on, just blank

:agree: that's the pic I've seen before. Not my thing, can't understand why they didn't make the plate in grey. Cool rare factor though :)
