ok a silly one i know but the wiring on my car has been a night mare due to new spray on earth points ect so here goes
spent most of today sorting dash and fitting and testing all the lights ect
then i went to turn engine over ( not start it just turn it over)
but nothing happens ive got 2 cables that bolt onto starter and a white cable with spade which goes onto solenoid

? where does that soleniod cable go to ie from solenoid to ? ?
what voltage should it have when turning the keys ?
and im starting to think i should have tested the starter before building and fitting engine lol
tip im going to remember:)

give the white wire with a spade connector a wiggle, should show 12v when cranking, comes from the ignition key, dont think it has a relay?!?

the other 2 go on the positive stud, make sure that nut is nice and tight, i've had a solenoid burn up because i was too lazy to tighten it

also, check the engine earths, if you've painted the block then check that the earth has a good metal contact. also doesn't hurt to add a couple more, i've got one from back of waterpump area to firewall, and extra one from gearbox to firewall
