What were you listening too when you were 9 ?
I honestly can't remember apart from some Eagles ............I was in Oz at the time so it wouldn't mean much if I said Skyhooks :o

My eldest is obsessed with Slipknot ..Makes the masks , then watches you tube vids givin it plenty :laugh:
Dawn finds it all ' offensive ' I don't mind some of it but it all seems a bit ....Too Much too Young ....

I get called an emo all the time :( it does nothing for my self-esteem.
But seriously, ****knot are terrible. Although they have one good song, can't remember what its called though.

12-02-2009, 22:10
LOL, what is an Emo anyway, is it a dark haired person who wears mascara, has multiple peircings, nail varnish, A chain link on their jeans antisocial, and genuinly scruffy barstwereds?

Edit

I just reread what I put down, I bet that does nothing for your self esteem either:laugh: Joking, I honestly don't no what an EMO is.

Emo came from the metal/ hardcore scene years ago and stands for emotional hardcore. also another variant was straight edge which meant no drink fags drugs etc. They were bands that were quite heavy, but had quite emotional almost doom laden/sad type melodies within the music. You had vocalists crying to the music when performing! The band members were often skinny/small/weak looking individuals that would have crazy hair and maybe wear a shirt and tye with skinny jeans etc. Compared to the metal bands who are normally full of tatoos and piercings. From there on bands like bullet for my valentine took it a stage further and made it popular fusing modern rock with melody. In the early days, these bands used to have to mix with the hard and heavy bands which didnt really go down well with the metal crowds. The scene soon split and now we have that utter trash on MTV.:scared:
