anyone know the best way to bend carbon fibre?
im planning to make a custom air box sort of thing under the bonnet but i dont wanna buy a shett of carbon and wreck it
any info or help

Thin carbon sheets like 1.4mm is proper bendy and proper strong, I bent a spare bit i had from doing my door cards and I could bend it so the oposit ends were touching each other, you've gotta give some serious stick to break it

You cant .
It wont form from sheet ,it is layered in a mold under pressure to shape .Much like fibreglass .
It's cross layered that's how it gets its strength .

Well yes, it will roll into a tube .Diameter dependent on thickness :agree:

Yep, add a couple of small holes at either end and some tie wraps and away ya go :agree:

Sorry Clee is right, for a 90degree bend you'd have to buy it like that

U can bend it and u can cut it but thats about it

You can get real CF with an adhesive backing from 3M .Apply this to some thin ali or polycarbonate :agree:
